The images of this theme tell the story of journeys through reflections on or of vehicles, like trains, cars, ships and the underground railway. People constantly evolve with every step they take in the journey of life. And, sometimes we meet strangers who become a part of our journey. The photographs are mostly of Russia and Hong Kong.

This is one of the most impactful images of the series. A line of mannequin legs wearing socks and shoes; the green, blue and brown shades bringing to mind colours of nature; the reflection of more legs in the mirror – makes one want to embark on journeys to destinations unknown. Passengers, with luggage, queuing up to board the Sapsan Express to start a journey from Moscow to St. Petersburg. The train attendant and passengers’ reflections on the train window depicts the formalities and eagerness that precede journeys. The Sapsun is a high-speed electric express train that travels at a speed of 250 km/hr. The photograph was shot at the Moscow Railway Station.

Traveling can take a toll sometimes. And sometimes, commuters need to break their journeys to connect from one destination to another. The women waiting at a bus stop, whiling away time on their handphones and men standing or trying to hail cabs, reflect scenes from our daily lives. Historic Journey - Moscow Metro, Russia
In the birthplace of Socialism and Communism, only symbols remain. A hammer, sickle and sheaf of corn, at a Moscow Metro Station, with the reflection of a lady with a cellphone, shows the reality of the contemporary world. The photograph has been taken from inside a Metro train, as it moves away from a platform, leaving behind a historic journey of an eventful era. The Moscow metro stations are the most beautifully and intricately decorated underground stations in the world.
