Of Moods, Drinks and Rhododendrons - Haatiban Resorts, Kathmandu, Nepal
Blue skies, brilliant red Rhododendron flowers and alcoholic drinks are intrinsic to Nepal. Both are reflected on this window frame – giving the image its Nepali touch. The children, in a playful mood, add effervescence to the colours and spirits. The man, looking back, may be remembering his childhood. This is photographed at the Haatiban Resorts, Kathmandu.

World Cup Football 2018 revealed the colours and flavours of Russia to the world. The mania that grips football fans internationally, is evident from the multiple TV screens displayed in only one restaurant, among many. Multitudes of fans, thronging the streets and restaurants of St. Petersburg, not wanting to miss even a minute of the thrilling games shows the passion that football arouses.

Photographs speak. Photos of photographs also speak. An exhibited image of two ladies, in black, walking outside is in direct contrast to the two men, in white, inside the art gallery. The shade of grey reflect transcending moods from inside the gallery to the outside world depicted on the exhibit. This is the only photograph in the series taken with a mobile phone. Taken in Kolkata, the caption is inspired by the animation film of the same name.
