The Earth Endures

The enduring Earth cried out in pain!

When we set Her ablaze;

Tried to wring out Her last breath –

“Enough is enough!” she cried.

Nature slashed while artifice remains

She turned the tables with quiet certitude.

To make us breathe in an uncertain world.

To keep us distant in an uncertain world.

To make us live frenzied lives in a topsy-turvy world.

frenzy topsy turvy

Topsy-turvy

She still revolves and rotates in her habitual way.

As she grows green from our ashes and stubs.

While we revolve among our familial race.

While we rotate in our confined space.

No more competition. No more race.

It’s time for our endurance tests

To restore the earthly order

While the Earth rests.

Earth rests
